Feeling stressed or overwhelmed? Wishing the world was a kinder place these days? The science of compassion reveals tools to address these life experiences to achieve more happiness, calm, acceptance of emotions, and self-caring behaviour. “I find that I am more calm, patient, and present in daily life. I used to often feel overwhelmed and flustered with the amount of to-dos I had on my list everyday, but I have become better at making space for self-care and I feel more satisfaction in my accomplishments.” --CCT Participant CCT was developed at Stanford University by leading experts in neuroscience, psychology, contemplative practice, and adult education to move through life and its challenges with a steady mind, from a place of connection and inner strength. The 8-week CCT journey: Week 1 - Steady & calm the mind Week 2 - Loving-kindness & compassion for a loved one Week 3 - Compassion for oneself Week 4 - Loving-kindness for oneself Week 5 - Common humanity & developing appreciation for others Week 6 - Compassion for others Week 7 - Active compassion practice Week 8 - Integrated daily compassion cultivation practice “Practicing [mindfulness & compassion] has helped me be more grounded in difficult conversations.” -- CCT Participant Your course registration includes: • Weekly 2-hour class, with lectures, discussions, & in-class interactive exercises • Daily meditation practices that progress from week-to-week • Application suggestions to help you move new practices into long term habits • Membership in a local community of compassion practice that hosts periodic events online and in-person to support your ongoing commitment to catalyzing compassion in our world.
