The Enouraging Path

is your portal to the #heartlife you desire

 

You deserve it! You’ve already come this far and are ready to go the next leg. Encouragement and support will be your guide toward the #heartlife that is you living your whole-hearted, authentic self. Livin’ your #heartlife is freeing. It allows you to be the person inside that’s yearning to emerge, to make real your destiny. You know, the life you think about when you imagine what life could be.

 

 

I see you over there. You’ve got big dreams. Some days it is full steam ahead, you are full to bursting, ready to let your passion spill out into the world. You go girl! The world needs that. However, lately it seems there are more and more days that lack that energy. You can do it on your own but having a BFF to celebrate the awesomeness and stoke your motivation when things lag sure would be nice. I’ve been there. I remember those days of wishing I had someone to ask for help, or someone I could share my dreams and successes with...

 

... You are not alone. Behind the curated lives of social media, there is a whole crew of women who are yearning for authenticity, for a place where they can be honest, both shine their brightest and ask for help when they need it. It’s the kind of community that fuels your #heartlife.

There’s been a lot of upheaval in our world lately. Plans have been scuttled; we’ve all had to change course countless times. However, what better time is there than this Great Reset to take back some control, to reconnect with your heart, and to make sure you’re headed where you want to go.

Here are the first few landmarks on your Encouraging Path roadmap.

 

Landmark #1 - Knowing

Pay attention to your environment

 

Motivation is a mental state that’s influenced by your environment. Paying attention to your environment allows you to embrace conditions that add to your energy and move away from those that get in the way. Did you know the colour green not only sparks creativity, but also boosts motivation? Enhance your mental motivation by getting more green in your life. Add a green plant to your desk. Take a walk outside in a local park. Ask a friend to join you for the stroll or walk and talk on the phone to boost the positive effect.

 

 

Landmark #2 - Doing

Just begin

 

Newton’s law about objects in motion tending to stay in motion applies to pursuing your #heartlife too! Start by taking baby steps and build to your full stride. Motivation is often the result of action rather than the cause of it. Once you are on your way, you gain momentum. Pull out your calendar and schedule in 15 minutes to spend on something that will move you closer to the life you dream about. Follow-through on this first commitment to yourself and then schedule another 15 minutes or even 30 minutes. Repeat, repeat. You are on your way. Don’t stop, but if you miss a day, just pick up where you left off. Don’t beat yourself up over it.

Landmark #3 - Being

Get it "just right" by setting micro-destinations

When you know where you are headed, it is much easier to stay on course. Choosing where you aim can have a lot to do with how motivated you are to follow through. If the challenge before you is too easy, you often get bored. If it’s too hard, you become defeated. Instead, channel your inner Goldilocks and aim for something just right, something at the edge of your comfort zone to move you in the direction you want to go without sabotaging your motivation to get there.

Landmark #4 - Together

Prioritize life-giving relationships

 

Motivating yourself is hard. That is why social interaction is a key piece. It causes the release of dopamine and serotonin, which activate the brain’s reward system. These feel-good chemicals feed your regenerative emotions and give you energy. There is a whole community of #HeartTenders like you on this same journey in our Facebook group. We are all about being authentic, so come as you are. Our mission is to cheer each other on along the way to the #heartlife each of us deserves.

Meet your guide!

Hi there! I’m Daranne (yes like the band, Duran Duran, though, as you can see, spelled differently).

 

I went from the little girl with a big heart to the C-suite executive where suddenly my heart-driven leadership was seen as a hindrance. I loved my work, but the job was destroying my soul. I went from bounding out the door with energy to counting the minutes until I might escape the office. I wanted to hide to keep away from all the subtle moves to devalue or strip away what made me shine. My light was going out. I brought my stress home and that messed with family life too. Something had to give, and I decided it couldn’t be that life-source within me!

 

So, I left to pursue PhD research on the science of compassion and I’ve never looked back. The research process deepens my understanding of how we process the world around us and how it affects us. Science provides tools to enhance personal and collective wellbeing. By integrating the latest findings in neuroscience and psychology with ancient wisdom traditions, I’ve developed my own framework to help ambitious women move from stuck and unsatisfied to heart-centered fulfilment and joy.

 

If you want to step into something different or something more, you’re in the right place. I’m all about helping women just like you to tap into their own heart and let their unique goodness flow. I bring the rigour of science and a compassionate heart to catalyze your transformation.
